HUNTINGTON - In a scoring system that coordinator Rick Minter steadfastly asserts is tilted toward the offense, the Marshall defense won handily in Saturday's scrimmage at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

In some ways, the 69-52 score was closer than the action indicated. Until late in the 114-play scrimmage, the difference was gaping.
