WELLSBURG - A monument to the Wellsburg son who explored the Louisiana Territory in the early 1800s has lost its head.
But the bronze bust of Patrick Gass will be back soon. Four years after it was dedicated near the Ohio River wharf in Wellsburg, the bust was sent back to the foundry where it was made in Joseph, Ore., for a fresh face.See the full content of this document
