IF things that go bump in the night thrill you, consider buying a ticket to a show in a local theater. The production doesn't matter, just make sure you get the right venue. On certain nights when the moon is right, unwitting actors and audience members spot ghosts in the balconies of the Capitol and Light Opera Guild theaters.

Charleston playwright Dan Kehde spends long hours in the Capitol Theater on Summers Street, where he produces plays with the Contemporary Youth Arts Company.
