If you go The Cranberry Mountain Nature Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. now through Oct. 31. In November, the center will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is closed Dec. 31-March 31. To reach the Cranberry Glades Botanical Area, follow W.Va. 39 east from Richwood about 21 miles, and turn left on Forest Road 102 at a highway sign marking the turnoff. The paved road takes travelers to the parking area for the boardwalk, less than two miles from the turnoff. The Cranberry Mountain Nature Center is reached by traveling about one mile east on W.Va. 39 beyond the turnoff for the botanical area.
