Summary


Charleston Catholic seniors in Pam Pulliam's Anatomy class listened closely to instructions, then bent over the plastic dummy head and chest on the floor in front of them, and breathed twice into its mouth. They interlocked their hands, placing one under the other, and used the heel to push rhythmically on the center of the dummy's chest.

They learned the rudiments of CPR, thanks to an anonymous parent who provided the dummies after a coworker collapsed and died last year for lack of CPR treatment. Available through the American Heart Association, the "CPR Anytime" kits include a dummy and instruction video.
