Summary
Three months after they were installed, the security bollards on the West Virginia Capitol Complex were removed Saturday. The state installed the concrete barriers in April as part of a $459,000 contract to enhance security, but the structures provoked a public outcry. In May, the Capitol Building Commission ordered the Department of Administration to remove them.
