Summary
The West Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics has been following with great concern the current and future funding crisis for our state's Birth to Three Program.
Administrators of the program had more than a $3 million shortfall for this fiscal year. The Legislature provided this year supplemental funds to cover for this deficit. At this point, the revenue stream to fully fund this program for future years is not clear.
